Qualified graduating seniors/incoming freshmen meet the following requirements:
Male
BIPOC: Black, Indigenous, People of Color
GPA: 3.0
Graduating Spring 2025 from an LA County High School
Provide Proof of Acceptance to a 4-Year University for Fall 2025 OR
Provide proof of acceptance to an LA Area Community College

Qualified Continuing College Students and Transfer Students meet the following requirements:
Male
BIPOC: Black, Indigenous, People of Color
GPA: 3.0
Full-Time Enrollment Attending an 4-Year University OR
LA Area Community College student transferring to a 4-Year University

A Headshot/Profile Picture
A Transcript
An Acceptance Letter (Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students).
A Video Essay (30 sec- 1 min)
Three (3) short essays with a maximum 1,500 characters each.
DEADLINE is May 23, 2025. To receive the scholarship, selected applicants MUST attend the Phi Beta Sigma Los Angeles Alumni Foundation Scholarship Luncheon on June 28, 2025. Sigma Beta Club members and current undergraduate brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. are strongly encouraged to apply. All selected applicants will receive two tickets to the luncheon— one for themselves and a guest.
